How you can work with Kochdaheim
Two formats, one marketplace model. You set your prices and availability.
At Kochdaheim, you decide how you want to work.
There are no sign-up fees.
You work as a self-employed chef, set your own prices, and coordinate details directly with your clients.
Kochdaheim additionally charges a transparent 15% service commission, which is paid by the customer.
Format 1: Weekly cooking plans
Regular cooking for one household, aligned with everyday life
✔ You cook on a recurring basis, with a clear routine and predictable workflows
✔ You start with a trial week, so both sides can be confident
✔ Pricing is set as a weekly rate, not per portion
Format 2: Signature Events
One-off private dining occasions such as birthdays, dinner parties, or special evenings
✔ You design the menu and flow to match the occasion
✔ Pricing is per person, depending on the menu and level of effort
✔ You decide whether you cover service yourself or if additional staff is needed
In certain cases, cooking outside the household can make sense, for example if on-site cooking isn’t possible. If this is relevant for you, we’ll discuss it individually.
Developed with chefs,
not just for them
We spoke with private chefs in Berlin and beyond. Their message was clear: they want more than occasional gigs. They’re looking for fair conditions, real relationships with clients, and a sense of belonging.
Kochdaheim puts chefs first. We give you visibility, structure, and a network to build your own cooking business on your terms, whether you’re just starting out or already have regular clients. Kochdaheim is a space you can actively help shape.

"I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time: a platform that focuses on real clients and relationships, not just commissions."
@Nazaret, Private Chef, Berlin
"I feel like I’m building my own thing, with support, but without rigid rules”
@Tarek, Private Chef, Berlin
About us
We want to bring back the joy of eating together, without the stress of cooking. I’m Serbay, I come from a Turkish family with a background in gastronomy and have been living in Berlin for many years.
In conversations with families, couples, and chefs, one thing kept coming up: eating well every day shouldn’t be a luxury, and good cooking deserves fair conditions.
Kochdaheim connects talented, self-employed chefs with people who value fresh, home-cooked meals. For families, this means real relief in everyday life. For chefs, it means genuine relationships, appreciation, and the opportunity to build their own business sustainably.

For chefs
How can I join Kochdaheim as a chef?
If you’d like to join Kochdaheim as a self employed chef, you can apply via the application form. After signing up, we get to know each other and check whether a collaboration is a good fit.
It’s important to us that expectations, ways of working, and conditions are clear from the very beginning.
Who sets the prices?
Pricing is entirely up to you as a chef. You decide your own prices based on your offering, the level of effort, and your experience.
Kochdaheim supports you with structure, visibility, and coordination, but does not interfere with your individual pricing.
Am I employed by Kochdaheim?
No. Chefs working with Kochdaheim are self employed. Kochdaheim is a marketplace, not an employer.
You remain legally and organizationally independent.
What requirements do I need to meet?
You should be self employed or able to register as such. We also expect experience cooking for private households or events, as well as a professional and responsible approach when working with clients.
