Our story

Kochdaheim grew out of a simple observation: good, freshly cooked food should be a natural part of everyday life, not an additional burden.

Many households want to eat more consciously and better, but struggle with time, energy, or daily organisation. Planning, grocery shopping, and cooking often no longer fit into a busy routine.

At the same time, there are many talented chefs who love cooking for people but don’t find a reliable and fair framework in traditional structures.

Kochdaheim brings these two sides together. We create a clear, personal setup in which households are cooked for regularly or on special occasions, and chefs can work in a predictable, self-determined, and fair way.

This creates a model that makes everyday life easier and enables meaningful collaboration.

Kochdaheim works with self-employed chefs. They bring their experience, their cuisine, and their own style, and shape their work independently.

Menus, pricing, and ways of working are defined by the chefs themselves, within clearly set guidelines. There are no fixed recipes or rigid cooking plans, but individually coordinated agreements tailored to each household and occasion.

Kochdaheim handles coordination in the background. This includes the initial request, alignment before the start, and a reliable structure throughout the collaboration. This creates planning security without limiting the chefs’ independence.

For households, this means consistent quality and personal support.

For chefs, it means fair conditions and reliability.

A personal note

I’m Serbay. I come from a Turkish family with a background in gastronomy and have been living in Berlin for many years. After more than ten years in the tech industry, I wanted to build something closer to real life and more connected to people.

Through many conversations with families and chefs, I realised how big the gap in everyday life really is. Good food matters, but often there’s not enough time or energy to make it happen every day. At the same time, there are wonderful chefs working with great passion who need stability, appreciation, and reliability.

Kochdaheim grew out of exactly these conversations. Step by step, personally, and with the aim of creating a framework where both sides feel supported and well taken care of.

How does Kochdaheim work?

You choose whether you’d like to request a weekly cooking plan or a Signature Event. After your request, we suggest suitable chefs and connect you with the right person. The menu, schedule, and any preferences are then discussed directly.

Kochdaheim coordinates the process and remains available as a point of contact, while the chefs work independently.

Who are the chefs?

All chefs on Kochdaheim are independent professionals with experience in private or professional kitchens. Each brings their own background, cooking style, and expertise, ranging from weekly cooking plans to Signature Events.

Before joining Kochdaheim, chefs are carefully reviewed. We focus on quality, reliability, and a good personal fit. Kochdaheim handles coordination and ensures clear processes, while chefs work independently and cook directly for you.

Can I trust someone cooking in my home?

Yes. Trust is a core part of Kochdaheim. You always know who is coming, can view the chef’s profile in advance, and communicate directly with them.

Yes. Before chefs are listed on Kochdaheim, we get to know them and review their information. We pay particular attention to experience, professionalism, and reliability.

Our goal is to work only with chefs you can feel confident inviting into your home and kitchen.

What hygiene and food safety standards apply?

Chefs work in accordance with applicable hygiene and food safety standards. This includes careful handling of ingredients, clean working practices in the kitchen, and adherence to basic hygiene rules.

If you have any specific requirements, you can address them directly in advance.

Are the chefs insured?

Chefs work independently and are responsible for their own professional activity. Appropriate insurance coverage is a requirement for working with Kochdaheim. The details are clarified during the chef onboarding process.
