Everything You Need To Know
Welcome to Kochdaheim. This page gives you a clear and simple overview of how working with us works. You’ll understand the cooking models, how you get paid, the legal basics, and the steps to get started.
What Kochdaheim Offers
Kochdaheim connects families in Berlin with private chefs for weekly cooking and special events. Families get fresh meals and a chef they trust. You get predictable work, clear communication, and support behind the scenes.
We take care of finding clients, handling inquiries, managing admin, and coordinating payments. You focus on cooking and building your own style.
The Three Cooking Models
Klassik
You cook in the family’s home on fixed days each week. Ideal if you enjoy personal contact and long term relationships with households.
Komfort
You cook in a partner kitchen or your own professional kitchen and deliver the meals to the families. You keep structure without cooking inside the client’s home.
Signature
One time or occasional premium events, dinner nights, or special occasions. Higher earnings per booking and full creative freedom. Some chefs focus only on Signature.
Weekly Structure With Families
For Klassik and Komfort, every family begins with a one week trial. If both sides enjoy the collaboration, it becomes a one month commitment.
You decide how many families you want to work with and how many visits fit into your week. Signature events run independently of this schedule.
Payment Model
Kochdaheim works as a marketplace.
You set your own chef price using the price calculator.
Kochdaheim adds a 15 percent platform fee on top of your amount.
The client pays the full amount to Kochdaheim. You receive the exact chef price you set. Nothing is deducted from your payout.
The platform fee covers client acquisition, marketing, administration, and support.
Payouts are processed weekly after your visits.
How You Earn
Your earnings depend on the price you set, the size of the household, and how many families or events you want to take on.
The price calculator shows your payout per family, your potential monthly income, and your effective hourly rate based on realistic time estimates.
As an orientation, two weekly families often create a stable base income, while Signature events add flexible extra earnings.
Legal Basics
You work as a freelancer in Germany and stay fully independent.
You handle your own health insurance and taxes.
You can often start under the Kleinunternehmerregelung.
You issue one invoice per month to Kochdaheim based on your visits. We provide a simple invoice template.
We can guide you in general matters, but for detailed tax questions we recommend speaking to a tax advisor.
